Sharepoint Menu drop downs stopped working

This is Mukti Ranjan. I have used the Demo1-Menucool Image Slider in one of my SharePoint sites. But after successfully implementing this , the sharepoint navigation buttons at the top of the page stopped showing the drop down menus. It seems to be a conflict in Javascript/CSS. Please help out.

As the slider has z-index values in its CSS, you need to give the menu or the menu's containing block a higher z-index value. For example: #menu2 { z-index:200;}

Hi Milo,

Here I am attaching the part of my HTML code; kindly suggest where to change/modify.

<body class="v4master" scroll="no" onload="if (typeof(_spBodyOnLoadWrapper) != 'undefined') _spBodyOnLoadWrapper();"><form name="aspnetForm" id="aspnetForm" onsubmit="javascript:return WebForm_OnSubmit();" action="/SitePages/Home.aspx" method="post"><div id="s4-workspace" style="width: 1024px; height: 584px;"><div id="s4-bodyContainer"><div class="s4-pr s4-notdlg s4-titlerowhidetitle ms-titlerowborder" id="s4-titlerow" style="width: 1006px;"><div class="s4-pr s4-notdlg" id="s4-topheader2"><div class="s4-lp s4-toplinks"><div class="s4-tn" id="zz17_TopNavigationMenuV4"><div class="menu horizontal menu-horizontal"><ul class="root static"><li class="static selected"><ul class="static"><li class="static dynamic-children"><a class="static dynamic-children menu-item" href="/Accounting/SitePages/Home.aspx"><span class="additional-background">

You can add the z-index to the menu container:
<div class="menu horizontal menu-horizontal" style="z-index:999999;">

I tried your suggestion ; but it did not work.

Does your slider container has a higher z-index value than 999999?
Please check all your z-index settings and guarantee the menu has the highest.
