Licensing on multi-language site

We have a single multi-language website, but the URL for the french side of the site is different than for the English side of the site. Would the licensing still work in both languages since it checks against the site URL?

if your domains looks like abc.fr, abc.it, abc.net, it is OK as their license will be the same. 
If the domain's major part is not the same(abc), you have to buy multiple licenses for the different domains.
