durability of the license

Is the license dependent on your not going out of business? i.e does it ping your domain. Or will it always work. Even if you go on to do something else.

The slider license is required if the slider's advanced features have been used. It is on per domain basis. 
The slider will check the domain name in the browser's address bar for verification. 
It will be valid forever for the domain without the need to renew.
