It depends on if your slider has included any of the advanced features. You can find out the basic/advanced features from the JavaScript Image Slider page.

If you are using one of the demos of the slider, you can download the package, open the downloaded demo, you will see a description at the bottom of the page that tells whether the demo requires a license or not.
