Showing 2 images on slider next to each other possible bug?

9
I have the slider showing in a fancybox popup window, works great however first time you open the slider in the fancybox window, it shows 2 images side by side as opposed to just one.

The site I'm working on is here http://www.yourdesignpartner.co.uk/dev/, go down to the portfolio section and click 'the bay' image and you'll see this happening. Any help greatly appreciated.

I guess the problem is that the slider know its containing block width(width of the fancybox windows)  is very small, but its width increased a lot later. You can try something to avoid this:
1. Instead of the setting  #ninja-slider  width:100%; }, can you set it: #ninja-slider {  width:1000px; }?
Or maybe better to give the fixed width to its containing block: <div style="width:1000px"><div id="ninja-slider">...</div></div>
or:
2. If fancybox has callback functions(I'm not sure), some time after the fancybox pops up, call the nslider.reload() in the callback function.

Thanks for the reply Milo. I changed to 1000px in css but that gave me a long narrow slider with no images appearing and I also removed that and added <div style="width:1000px"></div> ti the containing block <--this option looks a bit better, the slider opens up every time at what looks like a 'noprmal' width based on my images however what happens is it doesn't seem to be able to see the images. When the next slide happens, you see something for a split second then it's black again. I did a screen recoding here http://www.yourdesignpartner.co.uk/dev/wp-content/themes/colorroom/vid.mov

This also takes away the respnsive a bit as looking on an even larger screen than my 27" mac (my pc runs on a 37" LCD) there is a scrollbar on the popup box.

Would you open the ninja-slider.js with Notepad, search for "&&a.offsetWidth"(without quotes), and update it as "&&a.offsetWidth&&a.offsetHeight", and then refresh your page by Ctrl-F5, and see if it works?

Tried that, looks like it has solved the height issue. It displays correctly on the larger LCD screen now (relative to the screen size) but still no images appearing. occasionally they do appear for a second then gone.

On my 15" macbook, I also have a scroller at the bottom so i can scroll to the right and go through all the images.

Putting this in a popup box is causing no end of issues! Do you offer any sort of custom coding service where you could fix this issue for me? If so can you let me know what sort of charges are involved.

I don't have a problem with giving the ftp details so you can see what's what just to see my current setup.

Would you create a very simple HTML testing page with only the fancybox and slider, put all the related files within a folder, and email us the zipped folder?
